Academic Integrity Board

The Academic Integrity Board is comprised of a pool of faculty members and students. The faculty members are appointed by the Faculty Senate annually. Student members are selected by an application and interview process overseen by the Office of Student Conduct.

Each Board is comprised of six total faculty and student members.

The position of serving on the Academic Integrity Board requires a commitment of time, energy, dedication, and impartiality. Board members play an integral role in educating their peers about their rights and responsibilities as members of the Appalachian community, upholding community behavioral standards, and implementing the Academic Integrity Code.

Join the Academic Integrity Board as a student member!

Student members of the Academic Integrity Board must meet and maintain the following minimum qualifications:

  • Be a full time student at the University
  • Be in good disciplinary standing with the University
  • Have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or above
