Article VIII - Appellate Procedure 8.01

Purpose of an Appeal

The purpose of the appeal procedure is to provide the opportunity for questioning the appropriateness of actions or recommendations growing out of a conduct board hearing. Appeals are not available to the complainant unless the alleged violation concerns a sex offense or sexual misconduct (see 4.01 g. and 4.02 t.). It is not the purpose of the appeal procedure to provide for a new hearing at a higher administrative level.
